red lite nite - friday evenings
Stop by for an evening of late-night shopping in the Historic Third Ward, kicks off on Friday, May 5. Participating retailers will remain open for shopping until 9pm or later on the first Friday of every month. Visitors are encouraged to stroll the sidewalks of the Third Ward, shopping and dining along the way. This event showcases the Third Ward as the premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Milwaukee .
As homage to the “Red Light District” proposed for the Third Ward by the City in the 1970s, red lights, red window dressings, balloons and more will adorn participating storefronts within the Third Ward. Currently, the Third Ward is home to over 100 retail merchants specializing in everything from upscale women's fashions and high-end home furnishings to yoga, art, stationery, food and wine.

We have a winner!
Thank you to everyone who participated in our first annual ornament contest! We were thrilled with the many imaginative entries we received and look forward to next year (it's not too early to get started!). Our 2005 winner is Karen Boehme with a fun, but very detailed, paper sushi ornament. Karen has received a $25.00 Broadway Paper gift card for her imaginative creation.

Show. On the evening of Saturday, February 5, 2005, brides and their
two guests will have a unique experience ordering their wedding
invitations.”

Paper put together a spectacular evening! The exclusive event featured
custom invitation books by today’s top designers and included
a personal appearance from Soolip, stationers to top Hollywood celebrities.
A special 15% discount was given on select invitations when orders
were placed that evening. We were also joined by a handful of our
favorite picks to help finalize wedding needs. Complimentary makeovers,
hors d’oeuvres and drinks were available throughout the evening
and each bride received a favor bag filled with fun goodies and
valuable discounts.
