- Using a graphics program or Microsoft Word, type out your invitation
text. Set your "page" to be 4.5 x 4.5” and center
your text. This will allow you to print two invitations per 8.5x11
sheet. Print out your invitations on white cardstock and cut to
size using a ruler and x-acto knife.
- From the red cardstock, trim a 5 x 7” piece with your
ruler and x-acto knife. With the card vertically laying in front
of you, make a diagonal cut with a ruler and x-acto knife from
the top, 1.5” from the left edge diagonally down 2”
to the left side of the card. Repeat this on the other side. This
will be your “ticket” to fun...
- Using a 1/8" hole punch, punch a hole through the top center
of the red cardstock “ticket.” Adhere the printed
invitation centered onto the ticket using mono adhesive.
- Using 9” of fuchsia polka dot ribbon, tie through the
hole in the ticket and tie a knot to create a loop.
- To create the mittens on the front of the portable pocket, type
your text on each mitten (keep separate from one another) and
print on white cardstock.
- Print this mitten
template out onto standard computer paper, cut out with scissors,
and trace around the text you want to appear with a pencil. Cut
out the two mittens with scissors and adhere to the red cardstock
with mono adhesive.
- Cut the red cardstock out around the white mittens, leaving
a 1/4” border.
- Using a 1/8” hole punch, punch a hole through each mitten,
near the wrist.
- Tie baker’s twine through each hole, tying knots at the
ends to secure.
- Adhere the mittens to the front of the portable pocket using
mono adhesive.

- Fill the clear cello bag with hot cocoa mix and tie closed with
fuchsia polka dot ribbon. String your tag through one end of the
ribbon and tie a bow to secure.
- To create the antlers, take one of the pipe cleaners and wrap
around the neck of the cello bag (right under the ribbon bow)
from the front to back, twisting in the back to secure the pipe
cleaner in place. Separate the ends of the pipe cleaner and form
them with your hands to stick out from the bow tie diagonally
in each direction.
- Take the second pipe cleaner and cut in half with scissors.
Using the first half, wrap around one of the antlers 2”
down from the top. Repeat this step on the opposite antler with
the remaining pipe cleaner piece.
- From black cardstock, create eyes and eyelashes using scissors.
We cut 0.5 x 0.75” rectangles for the eyes, and created
two eyelashes for each eye cutting out crescent shapes.
- Adhere the eyes and eye lashes to the front of the cocoa-filled
cello bag using mono adhesive.
- Adhere the red button with a glue dot to the front of the cello
bag, finishing your reindeer’s face!
