gift card wallet

directions

  • Lay open a real wallet and trace onto your card stock and one of the gift-wrap sheets and cut out with your scissors.
  • Adhere both pieces together with mono adhesive.
  • Create pocket for dollar bills by tracing a real wallet again on a patterned gift-wrap sheet and trim. Cut a 1” strip from the top, horizontally.
  • Roll mono adhesive onto the left, bottom and right sides of the “pocket” and adhere to the inside of the wallet.
  • Create pocket for a gift card by cutting out a 4 x 2” rectangle from a gift-wrap sheet. For a creative touch, we cut a curved strip at the top of this rectangle.
  • Repeat step 4, putting the pocket on one side of the wallet.
  • Fold wallet in half.
  • To address your recipient, write their name with a metallic pen onto some of your remaining cardstock or gift wrap and cut down to a 3 x 1” rectangle tag.
  • Punch a hole in the top left corner with your hole punch.
  • Wrap natural twine around the left side of the wallet as many time as you wish and tie through your tag.

festive wine bottle label and caseWine Bottle & Case

directions

  • For the wine bottle label, use a graphics program or Microsoft Word and set your "page" to be 4 x 4” and center your text. Print out your label and cut to size.
  • Adhere with double sided tape to your wine bottle.
  • From the olive lokta handmade paper, measure out 13 x 8” piece, trace your measurements with a pencil.
  • To trim with a torn edge, put your ruler down on your pencil lines. Holding firm on your ruler, pull the paper toward your body, tearing against the ruler’s edge. Repeat this step on all four sides.
  • Wrap the olive lokta piece around the center of the mailing tube. Secure closed with double-sided tape.
  • From the red tiles gift-wrap sheet, measure out 13 x 4” piece, trace your measurements with a pencil and cut with an x-acto knife.
  • Wrap the gift-wrap piece around the center of the lokta piece, securing with double-sided tape, directly over the lokta seam.
  • Cut a 20” piece of ribbon and wrap around the center of the gift-wrap piece, tying in a knot at the front of the tube.
  • Create the bow with your remaining ribbon. A trick is to wrap around your four fingers as many times as you can. Remove from your hand and pinch at the center of the loops. Tie this into the ribbon on the tube and begin to pull apart the loops to make the bow fuller.

gift card pocket fold

directions

  • Using a graphics program or Microsoft Word, type a greeting for the front and inside of the pocket fold. Shown above is: “A gift for you” on the front and “Happy Holidays” on the inside. We’ve added snowflake clip-art to the design, for a creative touch.
  • Print your messages and cut to 3 x 1.5” rectangle tags.
  • From the 8.5 x 11 caspian text paper, you will be cutting a total of three pieces with your scalloped scissors. The measurements for each are: Front piece-4.5 x 3.25”, Inside piece-4 x 2.5”, and Insert-5 x 3.5”. Measure with a pencil and ruler and cut along your pencil mark with your scalloped scissors.
  • From the 8.5 x 11 cocoa cardstock, measure out a 5.25 x 4” piece and trim with your x-acto knife.
  • Place a real gift card onto the 5 x 3.5” “insert” piece of caspian paper. Trace with a pencil around the gift card. With your x-acto knife, cut two 1.5” diagonal strips on the top left and bottom right corner of your card tracing.
  • Adhere this piece, with pencil markings facing down, onto the cocoa cardstock piece. Insert your gift card into the two diagonal cuts. Place into the pocket.
  • Cut a 12” piece of ribbon. Wrap around the top of the pocket fold. Adhere at the front center with a piece of tape.
  • With mono adhesive, adhere whichever message tag you want on the front onto the 4.5 x 3.25” piece of caspian paper and the inside message tag onto the 4 x 2.5” caspian paper.
  • Adhere the front piece centered on the front of the pocket fold and adhere the inside piece centered on the inside of the pocket fold.
  • Close pocket fold with the chocolate circle sticker.
