To create the red accordion fold
card:
-
Trim two of the sheets of red card stock
down to 9.5 x 7” and the third to 4.5 x 7” with
a ruler and x-acto knife.
-
Place one of the two larger red sheets in
front of you horizontally and fold the left side over 4.5.”
Then flip the sheet over and fold back a 0.5” flap (this
will be the “extra” paper you have after your fold).
Crease each fold with a bone folder.
-
Repeat the process with the second larger
red sheet.
-
Open one of the longer red sheets and place
double-sided tape along the 0.5” flap.
-
Open the second of the longer red sheets
and adhere the side without the flap to the flap of the first
red sheet.
-
Place double-sided tape on the 0.5”
flap of the second sheet and adhere the smaller red sheet.
Design your card:
- Using a graphic program or Microsoft word, design 5 panels
that measure 4 x 6.5.” One will be for the cover of the
card and 4 for the interior accordion. Have fun with the text
and layout…for example, we’ve designed each panel
to include a line from the song “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”
Then we incorporated family photos, baseball logos, etc.
- Note that one of our panels has a coin envelope to hold money
for food and fun. We designed the panel leaving room for the
envelope and will attach it with mono-adhesive after we print
and trim the panel. Also on our last page, there is an additional
panel which measures 3.375 x 3.5.”
- Print each panel on white card stock. We have a total of
6 panels, so we printed 2-up onto 3 sheets of card stock. Trim
each panel with a ruler and x-acto knife.
- Adhere the panels with mono adhesive to the red accordion
card in the order you want them to appear.
- For the last panel, cut a 4 x 6.5” piece of the gift
wrap sheet and adhere with mono adhesive. Adhere the cloud 9
portable pocket and your last card stock panel with mono-adhesive
(we added a layer of red card stock behind the white panel).
- Add your game tickets and money and your ready to give Dad
a fun day at the ballpark!
To create the envelope liner:
- Open your envelope flap and place open-side down on the back/rough
side of the gift wrap sheet. Trace with a pencil around the
envelope.
- Cut along your pencil lines with scissors or an x-acto knife
and a ruler. Then trim a 1/2” off of the bottom. This
piece is your envelope liner.
- Tuck the liner inside the envelope and fold closed. This
will create a fold in the liner where the envelope folds.
- Pull the envelope flap open leaving the liner folded and
roll mono-adhesive along the edge of the liner (on the back/rough
side).
- Close the envelope flap and press the liner and envelope
together firmly to adhere.

the front window of the photo album. Print on white card stock

tag centered on the gift wrap square with mono-adhesive.

Using tape, adhere this tag to the inside

To place photo corners in album:

Measure a baseball card on the white card

template (make sure they are all facing the same direction).

Moisten the corners with a wet sponge brush.
-
