gift wrap tower
directions
- Wrap each box in DeHaven gift wrap. Be sure to crease all
the edges of the boxes carefully.
- Cut Singing Bird gift wrap into strips to create 4 bands of
wrap. Cutting doesn’t have to be perfect as you should
then fold the sides to create straight edges. Our bands measure
approximately 3” high.
- Start with the largest box and wrap a band around 3 sides
of the box. Crease each corner as you fold to insure a tight
fit. Tape the ends on the back-side of the box with double-sided
tape.
- Take asecond band and cut to be 10” long. Fold both
ends in 1” so the band is now 8” long. Adhere to
the back of the box with double-sided tape.
- For the medium-sized box, adhere a band of wrap starting approximately
one inch from any corner of the box with double-sided tape.
Wrap the band around the box, creasing at each corner as you
go. Continue until the band is completely wrapped around the
box.
- There should be approximately 1-2” inches of the band
folded over the last corner. Fold this excess inside the band
and adhere with double-sided tape. The seam should line up with
the corner of the box. Adhere the end of the band to the box.
- Cutyour last band down to 19” long. Repeat steps 5 &
6 with the smallest box making sure to begin in the same corner
that you did with the medium-sized box.
- Use double-sided tape to adhere the boxes centered on top
of each other. This will make it easier to keep the packages
together while you tie the ribbon.
- Wrap both ribbons around the box making sure to “cross
over” your ribbons at the top of the package. Finish with
a large bow of any shape. We created loops of pool ribbon and
tied them into the knot.

ribbon rose
directions
- The width of your ribbon determines the length needed. The
measurement is approximate and you will have extra ribbon
when your rose is completed. For 1” width, we used one
yard of ribbon. For 2” width, we used two yards of ribbon.
- You will begin working in the center of the ribbon, so take
your ribbon and fold in half.
- Fold the ribbon at a 90 degree angle (creating a triangle
at the fold).
- Fold one side of the ribbon over the seam of the other side
of the ribbon (do not fold the ribbon back on itself). This
will create a square shape below the triangle.
- Then fold the opposite side of ribbon over the seam of the
other side.
- Continue folding the opposite sides of ribbon over each
other. If you are folding correctly, you will make a “stack”
of squares with the triangle at the top. Stop when you have
about 5-10 squares in your stack.
- Hold the ends of both of the ribbons (below the folds) and
let go of the stack. This will create a “chain”
of ribbon.
- While holding the ends, gently pull one of the ribbons.
Be careful not to pull too hard and stop when you see the
rose forming. This will bunch your folds into a rose shape.
- Wrap floral wire around the ribbon at the base of the rose.
Trim the ends of the ribbon based on what you will do with
the rose. Leave longer tails if you will tie the rose onto
a package, or other item, as an embellishment. For our arrangement,
we used floral tape to attach the rose to floral wire which
we then inserted in a Styrofoam base.

thank you notes
directions
Thank you notes are a wonderful gift for the guest of honor. Make
them even more special by creating notes that match the theme of
the shower or party!
- Using a graphics program or Microsoft Word, type your wording
to fit a 5.5 x 4.25”note card. We chose the same font
and dot motif we used for the shower invitation to give a consistent
look.
- Print the note cards using an inkjet printer (we recommend
printing one at atime/hand-feed).
- Add embellishment to your notes and envelopes using rubber
stamps for ahand-crafted feel.
- Let dry and then place in a stack. Wrap your notes with a
beautiful ribbon and you have the perfect gift!
