directions
Front Top Panel:
- Using a graphics program or Microsoft Word, set up the “intro” to your announcement. For a creative touch, we added a photo, polka dot border, and pink and cocoa text.
- Set your "page" to be 6.25 x 2.5.” This will allow you to print 4 cards per 8.5 x 11" sheet. Print out on a sheet of white card stock and trim to size using a ruler and x-acto knife.
Front Bottom Panel:
- Using a graphics program or Microsoft Word, set up the “greeting” for your announcement … Using two different colors and sizes adds dimension to your design.
- Set your “page” to be 3.5 x 1.” This will allow you to print 20 cards per 8.5 x 11” sheet. Print on a sheet of white cardstock and trim to size using a ruler and x-acto knife.
- Trim a backing for the tag you just printed out of blossom cardstock 3.75 x 1.5” in size using a ruler and x-acto knife. Trim as many as you need from the blossom cardstock.
Inside Top Backing Sheet:
- Using a graphics program or Microsoft Word, set up the backing for the blossom scallop card to be attached to. For a creative touch, we added a polka dot border and youthful scripted font printed in a sweet pink ink color.
- Set your “page” to be 6.75 x 4.75.” This will allow you to print 2 cards per 8.5 x 11” sheet. Print on a sheet of white cardstock and trim to size using a ruler and x-acto knife.
Inside Top Scallop Card:
- Set up your text in a graphics program or Microsoft word to be centered vertically and horizontally on an 8.5 x 11” page.
- With a small strip of double-sided tape, lightly adhere the blossom scallop card to a piece of 8.5 x 11” text paper centered on the page and place in your printer tray.
- Send your announcement to print and the text will print directly onto the scallop card. Remove the scallop card from the text paper carefully. If the tape is still attached to the back of the scallop card it is okay, as it will be adhered to the backing sheet during final assembly.
Insert Card:
- Trim an 8.5 x 11” sheet of blossom cardstock into two 5 x 7 pieces, using a ruler and x-acto knife.
- For this next part…use your creativity to highlight your new addition! We’ve created a layout that has 5 photos and baby’s name with a cute polka dot border! But a single photo or photo collage would work perfectly too! Which ever you choose, adhere to the blossom card you’ve just trimmed with mono-adhesive and insert into pocket!
Assembling Announcement:
- Adhere each of your assembled pieces to the pocketfold with mono adhesive based on the photos shown here or your own design!
