According to Milwaukee's Broadway Paper store manager Heather Stuart, the hot colors in wrapping paper mimic decorating trends this year. "Non-traditional colors are very in this year," says Stuart. "Brown is a big color, particularly in combination with blue or red."

"There's a sense of nostalgia to the papers," says Stuart. "There's a trend toward old-fashioned images. Birds are also a big theme right now.
